The spring water of the Oga Hot Spring is known for its heat-retaining properties, which is good for the skin.
The spring water of the Oga Hot Spring contains salt compounds similar to that of seawater. After a bath, the salt compounds in the spring water prevent sweat from evaporating. Due to the heat-retaining properties of the spring water, it is known for its skin care effects and is also known as "Netsu-no-Yu". The hot springs at our hotel is from a "Free-Flowing Hot Spring Source". (However, minimal addition of water and heating is conducted according to the season and temperature.)
The temperature of the spring water from the hot spring source is 56.5 °C. Such high temperatures are not suitable for hot spring baths. Hence, minimal amount of water is added to lower the temperature for the water to be suitable for hot spring baths in the summer.
